Anna Haynes - Principal
Hi, I am Anna Haynes and I am honored and excited to serve as Principal at Eleanor S. Rice Elementary School. Fostering positive relationships with our students is the key to reaching them in order to teach them. I am a firm believer that getting to know people is essential to building strong working relationships.
I began my teaching career in Anderson School District 5 where I spent ten years teaching grades 2-5. I started my career in Greenwood 50 as a teacher at Woodfields. I moved into administration serving as assistant principal at Lakeview Elementary before serving as interim principal during the 20-21 school year. Most recently, I served as assistant principal at Woodfields.
I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in Child Development from Maryville College. I attended Southern Wesleyan University and earned my masters degree in Education. I completed my second masters degree in Education Leadership: Administration and Supervision from Anderson University.
As a new Rice Wildcat, I look forward to building relationships with our students, teachers, staff, parents and community stakeholders as we ensure that our students are engaged in learning, growing academically, developing socially and preparing for success.
