Pamela McRae, Guidance Counselor

I am extremely excited to be granted this opportunity to join the RIC team for my second year of experience in this school district.  I am originally from Dillon, South Carolina where I graduated in 2006 as our SGA President. Encouragement, Support  and Advocacy have been my top priorities since my teenage years. I attended South Carolina State University where I earned my Bachelor's degree in Family and Consumer Science as well as my M. ED (plus 30hrs Mental Health) K12 School Counseling. I am a strong believer and supporter of the Reality Theory which sets the foundation of my Counseling Program. This maintains a “here and now” focus on choice, responsibility, commitment, and willingness to change. This generation needs a better understanding on what is needed to survive in “the real world. My goal is to build their confidence and levels of self love to push themselves as far as they can go! I will do my best but this is teamwork! Please feel free to contact me with any questions, ideas and/or concerns to play your part in this program.
